Today I am super excited to share with you my dinner look from Day 1 of my Charleston girl’s weekend! As I mentioned before we left, Asha and I really wanted this to be a no-plan trip. Both of us are extreme planners by nature and have our days scheduled down to the minute, so we were desperate for a break and a chance just to do whatever we wanted, whenever we wanted! Since Charleston has such a fabulous food scene though, we knew we would need to make a reservation or two for the top restaurants in Charleston. I’m happy to report that Tavern & Table was SO worth making the “plan”! If you are going to Charleston you must make Tavern & Table a stop on your food tour!! We dined on Pimento Cheese & Bacon Jam (ummm… I’m still dreaming about this!), Brisket Mac n’ Cheese, Pulled Pork Flatbread, Lobster Beignets, and S’mores cupcake with Graham Cracker Ice Cream!! It was southern foodie heaven! 🙂
Also, how cute is the house we rented for the weekend?! We decided to rent from Air BnB because we got much more for our money (in terms of space and location) and it could not have worked out better! Our house was in West Ashley and less than 10 minutes to downtown Charleston, Mt Pleasant, & Sullivan’s Island/Island of Palm- the perfect location to explore the city!
