Happy Monday my sweet fashionistas! I’m excited to share today’s post because I need YOUR help to dress me!
On October 28th my blogging gal pal So Sarah Hunt and I are teaming up to co-MC the Junior League of St Petersburg “Couture & Cocktails” fashion show! We are so excited to work together and share our love of fashion and local boutiques- there are so many great ones popping up every day in St Pete! Since I know not all of y’all can attend in person, I still wanted to find a way to get you involved… so I figured what better way then picking my outfit for MC-ing?!
It’s pretty simple… I’m sharing my favorite look from each of the three boutiques in the fashion show, and all you have to do is comment and tell me which one is your favorite for me! (Leave a comment and let me know what I should wear) The “voting” will be open until Friday & then I’ll announce the winning look. Oh, and there may or may not be a fun surprise giveaway that one person will win for commenting… 😉 Fun all around!
Now let’s get that voting started…
Canvas is run by best friends Michelle & Shelby and offers affordable (under $100) and on-trend styles. They definitely have a bohemian influence to their style, but every time I go in I find the most adorable pieces that make me feel cooler than I am 🙂 They also have curated the best jewelry & gift assortment- I always find exactly what I’m looking for!
ONE: Black Lace Kenzie Dress – It’s hard to see in the pic, but this dress has the sassiest cut-out of lace in the front! Y’all loved this one on Insta-Stories last week!
TWO: Off The Shoulder White Dress- OTS is a trend thats not going away anytime soon. Love the crisp white (even post Labor Day)!
THREE: White Bell-Sleeve Top & Skirt- there is no other way to describe this look other than “sweet” 🙂
Jackie Zumba, owner of Jackie Z, has curated the most stunning store of high-end dresses & accessories. If you have any sort of special occasion coming up, Jackie can help you dress for it! I loved that while looking for the perfect pieces, Jackie pushed me outside my comfort zone- and i in turn found some unexpected favorites!
FOUR: Black & Blue Body Con Dress- I so wish y’all could see this one in person! It’s wrapped around me as tight as can be, but was still comfortable & got me out of my normal style by showing off my curves!
FIVE: Blue Fit & Flare Dress- Such a classic shape and design!
Six: Pink Flare Sleeve Dress- You didn’t think I could pass up a pink dress did you? #Nope. Love the on-trend flare sleeve details as well as the fitted, classic shape.
I almost didn’t feel cool enough to be in Verve, the hippest street-style shop on Central Ave in St Pete, but owner, Susie, immediately made me feel welcome & helped me stretch my personal style with some gorgeous pieces! PS- Susie’s eye for design is fabulous as evidenced by the lion mural behind me & the hip-hop quotes in the dressing rooms. Definitely an instagram-worthy shop!
SEVEN: White Top and Leather Joggers- Friends I never thought I would end up in a pair of leather jogger (or even be able to get them on) but I ended up LOVING this look! The joggers are maybe the most magical pants I’ve ever put on my body- they felt like your comfiest pair of leggings but look incredibly hip and polished!
EIGHT: Black Lace Midi Dress- a classic and timeless design! This dress fit like a glove & was so ladylike!
NINE: Red Floral Maxi Dress- This dress is just so pretty! I love the velvet inset in the top and the fall floral print. There is even a ladybug brooch right at the neckline- the cutest details for a one of a kind dress!
TEN: Red Lace Maxi Dress- There are no two ways about it… this dress is a showstopper! It has a plunging front and peek-a-boo details in the back and was all around gorgeous!
SO there you have it! Ten gorgeous looks from three amazing local shops! Now the hard part… picking just one to wear! Comment below with your favorite (bonus points if you tell me why you love it) and on Friday I’ll let y’all know which look you’ll be dressing me in!
Have an awesome Monday!0
