Highlight Reel: January 2018

Friends, this may only be my second “Highlight Reel” of the year, but I’m already loving them so much! If you’re new around here, these posts are where I show you all the things going on behind-the-scenes in my life and the fun that took place the previous month. It’s a chance to be raw, real, and unfiltered and I love just getting to share it all with you! So here are all the adventures from January 2018:

I rang in 2018 this year with some new friends of mine! It was so fun to dress up & be low-key at the same time (it was a house party) which was the perfect way to celebrate!

My provisionals hosted a Shuffleboard Tournament to raise money for their class project. The weather could not have been more perfect and we all had the best time. I am so proud of these girls and all their hard work!

After the event wrapped on Sunday, I left at 7am Monday morning for a week of jewelry market: first stop NYC! I’ll be honest, it was an exhausting week and I didn’t get to share nearly as much as I was hoping to, but it was a great week. I did manage to snap a few mirror selfies so that I could at least share the looks I packed.

After three days in NYC we flew to Atlanta for Americasmart- which is one of the biggest shows anywhere! I could easily hit 10,000 steps just by lunchtime! The show is CRAZY but it’s such a neat place to discover new brands & trends in the industry.

This handsome fellow turned TEN this month! I can’t believe this little love bug is such an old man- he definitely still hunts kitties like he’s young 😉 When I travel I take him to a doggy sleepover camp and they do activities with the dogs each day (for easter they painted eggs and for Christmas they got pictures with Santa) and of course they love on Buddy so well for me!

My girlfriends mean the WORLD to me and I was lucky enough to get to brunch with them at the delicious Oxford Exchange (a must if you visit Tampa). So thankful for these women and their encouragement and wisdom!

The sweet owners of AR Workshop St Pete invited a bunch of local bloggers for a super fun night of crafting! What I loved is that we each were able to customize and make a completely unique piece- and everyone’s turned out so good!

The finished product!

While I love all the amazing women I’ve met through blogging- lots of them life far away so it’s such a special treat to meet “e-friends” turned real life friends! Each of these lovies is so talented, sweet, and FUN! We laughed for three hours straight and can’t wait to do it again soon!

Finally, I wrapped up the month celebrating Gasparilla- the pirate invasion of Tampa Bay! There is a huge parade, costumes, and all kinds of fun! Perfect way to end a fun month!

Very proud of all the beads I ended up with – although you have NO idea how heavy they were! My neck is still sore from wearing them all around! ha.

And that’s a wrap on the great month of January! Thankful to have started the month on such a wonderful note & can’t wait to see what the rest of the year has in store!
