Sunday Scripture

Hi y’all and welcome to a new edition of Sunday Scripture! Last year I tried to share these posts & scriptures as often as I could, but sometimes it was hard to know what I was looking for (in terms of scriptures to share). But since I am reading through the Bible in a year as one of my New Year’s Resolutions– my thought was that this year I will share a verse on Sunday that I read in the previous week that inspired me/challenged me/moved me.

I loved this verse this week & was challenged by it in light of another one of my resolutions- to not try and “keep up with the Joneses.” For far too long I’ve wanted to have what everyone else does- whether it’s a new dress, the must-have handbag, a car, fancy dinners- and I’ve put way too much stock in what I can buy and not nearly enough in what really matters. So this year I am doing more than just trying to budget & save- I’m trying to reevaluate my priorities when it comes to money and make sure that I am serving the Lord (the only master that matters)! As I’m sure you can imagine or relate to, this is NOT an easy thing for me to do & change my mindset on, but it is something that I know is going to have a lasting impact on my life and relationship with money going forward.

Friend, if this is something you can relate to I’d love to encourage you and walk beside you on this issue and reevaluation in 2018! It’s so much better when we can encourage each other and know that we are not along. I’d love for you to reach out to me on IG or email and let me know so that I can pray for you!

Have an awesome Sunday friends & thanks for letting me share a piece of my heart with you!

I absolutely love this Bible verse. It’s amazing how lessons and wisdom from thousands of years ago are still applicable today. Keep doing this Sunday scriptures dear, love it!
