Highlight Reel: February 2018

Another month is drawing to a close (how can it be??) so that means it’s time to wrap up February by talking a little stroll down memory lane! If you’re new around here, the Highlight Reel is where I share more personal pictures and stories from my month and get much more personal with y’all. I love this special time with you friends!

You’ll see that a central theme in February was volunteering & giving back. I always feel like that is something that makes me, “me” and I’m thankful that I was able to give in so many ways!

I volunteered with the Junior League at our local food bank where we packed “Pack a Sacks” that will be distributed to children in Pinellas who do not have access to a regular food supply.

Next I volunteered with my church, Grace Family, to paint a house with Habitat for Humanity- it was my first time working with Habitat but certainly not my last. That’s actually our homeowner taking this pic! She was a hoot and so deserving of this new home!

We got off work early for President’s day so Rachael and I hit up happy hour at the Getaway. The weather was gorgeous and the drinks were “on point” πŸ™‚

The pretty view at happy hour! Insert the heart eyes now!

My amazing provisionals and I worked with the Edible Peace Patch to build a cafeteria garden at a local Title 1 elementary school. I think it’s amazing that the gardens we planted is going to feed the kiddos & teach them about healthy eating!

We celebrated Sarah Hunt’s birthday at the Vinoy! It was such a fun group of gals and we loved cheers-ing to our girl! {Note to self: jumpsuits are cute for dinner, but not the most practical for dancing until 2am!} πŸ˜‰

I ordered the brisket and it was SO yummy! I’m sure my picture doesn’t do it justice but it was finger-licking delicious!

This happy outfit was a favorite from the month- the sweatshirt was just perfect for my Friday mood that day!

Wearing: Sweatshirt || Skirt || Flats || Tote Bag || Planner

We wrapped the month with a little road trip to Streamsong Resort (more to come!) and stopped in the most darling orange grove to explore (and take a few photos)! πŸ™‚

Wearing: this dress || sandals || sunglasses

Does this not look like a painting?? The views were just unreal everywhere the eye could see!

Can’t believe I’m sharing my no-makeup face! But I loved getting pampered at the spa on our final day. It was such a treat!

We had the best time on our getaway and can’t wait to share more!

Gentry what a fantastic month you’ve had! You really do ‘radiate positivity’! That outfit was awesome by the way – all of them are fab but that was a great one – you suit that colour combo! πŸ™‚ The light in Florida looks amazing – really missing that at the moment – we have a Siberian style blizzard at the moment here! All the Best – Joanne x
