This post is brought to you by my partnership with The North Face x Zappos. Thank you for supporting the brands that support this blog!
Happy Wednesday friends! When I talked about my struggle with prioritizing working out and finding the time and right resources in this post it seemed so many of y’all could relate. As busy women who have professional, personal, and community commitments, our health commitments often get pushed to the end of our “to do” lists (tell me I’m not alone)?!
So a few weeks ago when I found myself with a small amount of “free time” on my hands and the need to work out, I decided to try running. A brief backstory: I am a pretty terrible runner- ha! I’m definitely slow & steady and I think the longest I’ve ever run is a 5k! BUT, one thing I have always appreciated about running is that I can do it anytime, anywhere, without any special resources. Just me, a great pair of running shoes, and some good tunes!
And you know what friends? After that initial run a few weeks ago I felt SO good! I was proud that I conquered a physical activity that isn’t my normal, and I could feel the “burn” in my legs for days letting me know that I really got a great workout in! If I’m going to continue getting my running on though, I knew I needed some great new workout gear- enter The North Face!
I have had my North Face Denali jacket since college (love that thing!!) but I only recently discovered that The North Face is so much more than just outwear- they are all about pieces for the active lifestyle. That includes tank tops, sports bras (amen these are SO good!), workout pants, & tennis shoes – and every since piece is made with the care and attention we’ve come to expect from the brand.
Even more exciting is that they are sold by one of my favorite and most trusted retailers- Zappos! I placed my order for new gear and it arrived THE NEXT DAY! I mean… talk about service and exceeding expectations! Every piece in the collection fit true to size, but Zappos offers free returns if you have any issues. I love the comfort I always have when ordering with them!
So, if you’re in a rut like me, pressed for time, and looking to get your groove back- check out The North Face and give running a try. You may just surprise yourself! 🙂
PS- Where are my runners at?? Any tips for a newbie like me?
