Highlight Reel: March 2018

March was literally the fastest month of my life! With a bridal shower, three family birthdays, trips to NYC, Charleston, and Orlando and non-profit work I hardly had a chance to catch my breath! But, I wouldn’t have it any other way πŸ™‚ Today I’m getting personal, and unfiltered, and sharing all the fun that’s been going on “behind the scenes” of Girl Meets Bow!

At the beginning of the month I hosted a bridal shower for my gorgeous bestie Ashley! Her wedding was actually this past weekend which is why I took an unexpected hiatus from the blog πŸ™‚ #CantDoItAll. It was the loveliest day and such a treat to shower this gem of a friend! We’ve known each other since 7th grade (!!)

My shift dress

Our “flock tail” station was a hit with the party guests πŸ™‚

Literally the next morning I jetted off to NYC for work.. it was quite the turnaround! The weather was SO cold & I was quite happy to still have my Uggs around to keep me warm!

How pretty is Central Park in the morning? I’m sure I’ve mentioned it before, but my favorite thing to do in the city is get up before the sun, grab a coffee, and walk the city. A great way to get exercise & enjoy seeing all the city has to offer!

Day 2 in the city was NUTS! With an impending snowstorm we had to change all our plans and book a last minute flight out so we didn’t get stranded. So many meetings had to be cancelled and our whole day was re-arranged. Guess that’s life though!

Exploring the city is ALWAYS my favorite activity! You just never know what you’re going to find πŸ™‚

Of course the hardest thing about traveling is having to leave this sweet face behind. I’m so thankful that he get’s loved on and cared for at Happy Camper– they are the best! If you’re local I highly recommend them to all dog mamas!

I got back into town just in time to attend the Girl Scouts “Women of Distinction” awards where my wonderful & inspiring friend Chloe was honored! Normally I’d have to work but I was off for the week so it was a treat to be able to support her and see all my Junior League friends!

My wrap dress – was a hit at the event!

Congrats to all the inspiring women who are leading a change in our community!

Right after the luncheon I headed to my happy place, Charleston to celebrate MY 30th BIRTHDAY!!!! I have a full post planned soon and will be sharing everything we saw & did but long story short, I’m so thankful for the amazing friends who took time out of their busy lives to come and join me in celebrating this milestone birthday. They are truly the best friends a girl could have!

Floral crop top || Floral palazzo pants – LOVED celebrating in this fun outfit!

Next it was time to celebrate my sweet friend Jill’s birthday! She is the kindest, sweetest woman and I’ve loved getting to know her the past few months- Happy Birthday to my fellow pieces girl!

Such a random & fun find when I was shopping with my Aunt- this avocado purse was in the most unexpected place & I can’t wait to wear it to the Kentucky Derby/Cinco de Mayo party I have coming up! (I mean, so perfect right?!)

This sunset took my breath away- it was gorgeous! It makes me so thankful to live on the Florida coast (aka paradise)!

Next I headed home to celebrate a birthday weekend with my family. My mom, sister, & I are all March babies so we pick a weekend so we can all celebrate together. It was so fun & loved getting quality time with my family.

How sweet are my people?? Love them!

My mom & dad attempted their first selfie… they said “we are trying to do new things” – how cute are they?!

We went over to Daytona Beach for dinner and I wore my nautical stripes to fit in πŸ™‚ I mentioned on IG that it’s the funkiest little beach town- and totally feels like a throwback to the 60’s when you’re there!

Striped bell sleeve topΒ (on super sale!) || Red Shorts || Sandals || Barrington Bag

Another gorgeous sunset in Daytona Beach- this time from the other coast πŸ™‚ The beach was SO busy so I loved snapping this shot without any bystanders in it.

I ended the month with a celebration of Kendra Scott’s candle launch– so much fun! If you haven’t had a chance to smell these yet you’re missing out! The Rose Quartz is a big favorite of mine. Yummy!

Earrings (c/o) || White TopΒ (similar) || Pink Skirt (similar)

If you made it to the end- whew!! πŸ™‚ There is no doubting that March was one crazy month! Now that I’m back from wedding-weekend things are (hopefully) slowing down a little and I am so happy to have some time at home to catch up on my life. Anyone else feel that way?

Stay tuned for more fun to come- I love doing life with y’all!
