What I Really Wear to Work (vol. 1)

Join me for an unedited look at my everyday work style.

Wow y’all! I’ve never got as much of an overwhelming response to a question on my IG stories as I did when I asked if you wanted to see my “real” work style. I started taking some quick pictures in the morning to document my looks because I had the idea to do a post about my work week staples & “must haves.” But then I started to wonder if y’all would want to see what I’m really wearing on a daily basis (unedited, bad lighting, messy, dog photobombs & all!) and I heard you loud and clear!! 🙂

I think in a world where everything is so perfectly styled and perfectly shot, sometimes its nice to see the real & raw. So yep, those are my slippers & gym bag on the floor, and yep some shots have my laundry in the background! But this is my real life and real work style! Yay for #realandraw!

A few notes before we dive in: I work in a business casual office so my looks range from dressed up (meeting with vendors & presenting to my exec board) to casual (emailing and phone conferences all day). So you’ll see a wide variety of looks! Also, I realized that I really do have “ride or die” pieces in my closet so some things are a few years old but I will link similar styles so if you like the overall look you can recreate it with similar items.

This dress is from the Victoria Beckham for Target line and still remains a favorite in my closet! Luckily I found an almost identical option for y’all that comes in 5 color options!

Matching sets still have my heart! Love that there are so many ways to mix and match these pieces!

I love these work looks! Bravo for keeping it colorful at the office.
My favorite looks were the skirts paired with the tees. I really like those tee shirts because they look so comfortable, yet still really nice with dressed up a little.
Please keep sharing your work style!
