If this colorful Britt Ryan romper doesn’t make you smile… I don’t know what will! 🙂
Hi friends and happy Monday! I don’t know about you but it took me all weekend to recover from that holiday-in-the-middle-of-the-week thing! I seriously thought every day was either Monday, Friday or Saturday! ha. I know I can’t be alone in feeling that way!
Y’all know I love to keep it positive around here, so I thought there would be no better way to start the week than talking about the correlation between color and confidence. A few years ago when I became single again and started entering the “dating pool” (#ugh) I went out with several guys who always said the same thing: “Your really great but your just so girly!” (And always pronouncing “girly” like it was a word that grossed them out! ha) They often felt that way because, let’s face it, I love all things GIRL but also because I wore a lot of dresses and all the colors and prints! Well hearing that time and time again made me lose confidence in my colors, so I started trying to tone it down. To wear more neutrals. To “fit in” with everyone else. But you know what? I lost confidence- because I wasn’t being ME! And me is bright. And bold. And self-admittedly sometimes a little high-maintence. And still hates when her hair is out of place. But “me” is my best self when I embrace all the color and patterns and fun that comes with getting dressed every day!
So I say that to say, be confident in who YOU are and what YOU love and rock that out all day err day (to quote a favorite hip hop artist of mine- haha). Here’s to being confident in who we are!
Now, nothing say “confidence” like this bright Britt Ryan romper– you certainly cannot be a shrinking violet in this one!! And I kid you not… after shooting these photos I popped into a Happy Hour event and the first thing one of my friends said to me was “cool outfit.” It’s amazing to me that when we are our most authentic selves we always get the most positive responses. #AMEN. 🙂
