Happy Monday y’all! Today is a super exciting day because it officially kicks off my participation in the FASTer Way to Fat loss! I’ve started to share some of the journey on IG stories and it seems that so many of y’all are either interested in learning more about the program, or have participated and love it! Either way, y’all have gotten me so pumped up to participate and of course share all the details with you! Since I’ve gotten so many questions I felt like the easiest way to structure this post was just to address & answer them one by one. Keep reading to learn more!

Why are you participating in the program?

We all have our why, and I feel like mine is fairly simple. For the past two years I’ve continually fluctuated between +10 and -10 lbs, and I think it boils down to the fact that I just don’t know that much about food! Because this program’s success is dependent on you knowing your carb/fat/and protein intake it’s forcing me to learn so much about what I’m putting in my body- and thus I’m making better choices! I’d like to find a healthy weight, improve my eating habits, and learn more about food.

So what is the FASTer Way to Fat Loss?

The FASTer Way is a twofold program that has two main components:

INTERMITTENT FASTING: The first part of the program’s success is shrinking your eating window to 8 hours and fasting for the remaining 16 hours. So on a typical day I will eat between 12-8pm and will not eat anything between 8pm-noon. Intermittent fasting will start transforming your body from a sugar-burning to a fat-burning machine.

CARB CYCLING: The second portion of the program is carb cycling. What this means is mixing up your body’s daily carb intake so that it is constantly having to work differently in order to burn the max amount of calories and fat. So too days are low-carb, two day’s are low macro (a macro is carb + fat + protein), and three days are full macro. It sounds complicated at first but you will catch on super quick to the schedule!

If you don’t eat until noon, what about coffee?

If you know me you know I’m obsessed with my morning coffee! I couldn’t give that up. The great news is that on FASTer Way, while you can’t break your fast until noon, you can have less than 50 calories in the morning. This is the perfect amount of calories for me to have two cups of coffee with creamer. Yum!

So what CAN you eat?

I get this question SO often… we’re all curious about what we can and cannot eat! The answer is pretty simple… you can eat whatever you want as long as it fits into your macro goals for the day! Yep, that means bread, cheese, and wine are all OK!! (#BLESS) On low-carb days you have to stay under 50 carbs but the program counter-balances that by giving you additional protein and fats to off-set it. Other days your goals will adjust based on whether it is regular or low-macro day.

As we get into the program I will be sharing my weekly meal plans and what I eat each day!

Is it hard to track your macros?

I was super worried that it would be hard to keep my carbs, fats, and proteins straight, but the app makes it super easy and I’m already starting to learn what goods are good (or bad) for which day and then just plug it in to the app. Plus, you have a FB group with everyone participating in your round where you can ask questions, get help, and seek advice on meeting your various goals. Is such a supportive community and adds a lot to the program!

So, are you hungry ALL the time?

This may be one of the questions I get the most! ha. I was a wake up & eat breakfast girl and my typical eating window was 5am-8pm, so the thought of shrinking my window from 12-8 really worried me! However, after a few days of prep last week I’m totally adjusted! Just like any eating schedule I do start to get hungry around 15-30 minutes before I break my fast (which is pretty normal)! However, if you are eating the right macros the day before it really does fuel you to power through the 16 hour fast! You’ll be amazed at how quickly your body will adapt to the FASTer Way to Fat Loss!

How do I sign up for a coach?

So if you are interested in the program you can go HERE and learn more + sign up under my amazing coach Kristen! Kristen will lead your FB group and walk you through each an every step of the program to make sure you succeed! She does FB Live trainings, sends emails and reminders, and just encourages each of us that we can DO this! 🙂 She’s the best!

My participation in this round of FASTer Way to Fat Loss was compensated but all opinions and reviews are my own from my personal experience with the program. I am excited to share with you what is working in my life to become healthier and happier! Thank you for supporting the brands that support Girl Meets Bow.
