Happy Monday friends! As you know, last week I shared my 2019 Resolutions for the blog (you can read them here if you missed it!) and today I’m sharing something a little more personal… my monthly goals! Last year I -like most people- set a few year long resolutions for myself, but most I couldn’t remember- let alone accomplish!- by the end of the year. So this year I thought I would instead focus on monthly goals that give me a checklist/roadmap for my upcoming month. I always find that tangible goals are easier to focus on because they are clearly defined and direct- and that’s my goal for this year- to accomplished defined goals 🙂
ONE: Close my “move” ring every day this month- My Apple Watch tracks my move (calories burned), stand, and exercise goals daily. In December I had a REALLY hard time making my “move” goal so this month I want to make it a point to hit that red ring every single day!
TWO: Read three books- I also struggled to make time to read (one of my favorite things) in the last half of the year. So this month I want to get back on the reading train and read three books. I’m about half-way through Crazy Rich Asians and I’ve got two great books queued up next!
THREE: Renew my passport- I’m planning two international trips this year (!!!) and my passport expired last year, so it’s time to get that baby renewed! (More to come on all the exciting travel!)
FOUR: Have quiet time 5x a week- I accomplished my goal of reading the Bible in a year in 2018, so this year I’m focused on devotionals and quiet time to keep my faith-life strong in 2019. I’ve been working on reading Uninvited (and love it) for my bible study and it’s been a great book to keep my on track the last two weeks. Excited to see how quiet time will transform me this year!
FIVE: Take down Christmas decor- UGH y’all…. so embarrassing! My Christmas decor is still up (hides head in shame). I’ve got to get it taken down and cleaned up asap! New year, new decor- right?!
