Hey, hey friends! Today’s post has been highly requested and one I have gotten a ton of questions on- Am I still doing the FASTer Way to Fat Loss?! The short answer is a resounding YES! I started the FASTer Way program on September 28th, 2018. After 7 weeks on the program (which I shared on the blog here) I lost 13.25 inches! I couldn’t believe it!
Since the holidays we kicking into high gear I decided to sign up for a second round that started right after Thanksgiving and took me through mid-January. For me this was needed to ensure that I had accountability through the holiday season and kept me from undoing all my hard work from Round 1! When my round ended in January I decided to keep up with the lifestyle and dietary changes and know I’ve been on the program 4, going on 5 months! I’ve never been happier or felt better and I will be sharing all the details of the program today!
ROUND 1 RESULTS (AFTER 7 WEEKS OF FASTer WAY)
THE BASICS OF FASTer WAY:
Feel free to skip this part if you already know about the program 🙂 But it’s always good to start with the basics! So what is the FASTer Way to Fat Loss Program? The FASTer Way is a two-fold approach to changing your diet and improving your metabolism. 1) You will practice intermittent fasting- which means you only eat during an 8 hour window. The most common window (and one that I use) is 12-8pm every day. From 8pm- noon you fast! 2) You also practice carb cycling- which means every day you eat a different “level” or count of carbs. In FASTer Way we don’t count calories, rather we count macros (your carbs/fats/proteins). On low-carb days, you get more fats & proteins, on regular macro days you’ll get more carbs and less fats & proteins. Each day of the week is a specific type of day for your carb intake.
I am well aware that this may sound like a tad bit of jibberish right now! haha. Trust me, I was totally overwhelmed when I first read about the program- but this is where a coach comes in and makes all the difference! My coach was Kristen Mills and she is AMAZING! She will break down the program into understandable nuggets and within a week or two you will be counting macros like a pro!

WHY IS THIS PROGRAM SO SUCCESSFUL:
This program is powerful because nothing is off limits! With so many diets you have to give up carbs, sugar, cookies, potatoes… you know all the good things! But with FASTer Way you can actually eat ANYTHING that you want as long as it fits within your macro counts for the day! On low carb days I eat all the cheese and bacon (yes fats!) and on regular macro days I enjoy veggie fried rice, sweet potatoes, gnocchi (yes carbs!!). It seems so counterintuitive to what we’ve been taught, but you can see photo proof that eating this way WORKS! I’ve dropped inches, lost 2 pant sizes, and cleaned out soooo many clothes that are now hanging off me!
Giving up all the yummies may work in the short-term but it isn’t a successful or maintainable long-term strategy. I mean, who wants to give up cookies for the rest of their life?! What IS maintainable is re-training your body on how to eat and filling it with foods that will turn it from a sugar burning machine into a fat burning machine!
