Hey friends! Hope y’all are having a great week so far!
As you might have noticed, in the past few weeks I have backed off my normal (almost daily) posting schedule and have scaled back to 2-3 times per week. I found that every few days I was having to write an “I’m sorry I’ve been MIA” intro to my post – and that’s not fair to y’all or to me (blogging guilt is real!) So I wanted to have some #RealTalk and chat with y’all about my “new normal” of the moment.
I’ve alluded to it a few times, but my personal life has gone through a LOT of changes in the past 6 months! Back in October I moved from Jewelry buying to Apparel buying (within my same company) and went through a learning curve to understand a new business and how to run a successful apparel brand. It’s been an exciting step in my career and I’ve loved every minute- but it was a change to my schedule and routine that I needed to learn how to adjust to!
In January I became President of the Patrick Brett Foundation (an amazing local non-profit in St Petersburg) which has been another amazing experience- but added additional responsibilities to my nighttime schedule.
Finally (and most unexpectedly!) in March I started dating an amazing guy who has been the biggest blessing to my life! We have had the best time getting to know each other, meeting each other’s friends & families, and just “doing life” together- I’ve never been happier 🙂 (PS- planning to share more about him/how we met in the future! Consider this your sneak peek for now- ha! :))
I share ALL of these things, to say that I realized that as much as I thought I could “do it all” I just can’t! Life ebbs and flows, and goes through seasons, so I needed to level set with myself that in this season, my life had to take priority and the #1 spot in my schedule. Girl Meets Bow is still a huge priority for me, but I’m no longer home a majority of my nights/weekends to work on it, so rather than feeling guilty all the time I needed to reset my expectations! I think for the upcoming “season” of life, a M/W/F posting schedule is going to be the most feasible and hopefully sets a fair expectation for y’all too! This will also allow me to pour more long form content into the posts I do right and give you more insights/thoughts/my heart/etc- all things y’all respond way more to!

Whew! I know that was a novel to get through today! To be honest, I hadn’t planned on sharing ALL that, but I was feeling so guilty (again) for not posting on my normal schedule that it was heavy on my heart to just spill the beans about my life! 🙂
I am so thankful for y’all who consistently read Girl Meets Bow and continue to support the blog and cheer it on. Y’all are amazing and I am so so blessed by you! I’m excited to take you through this season of life with me and continue to share my heart with you!
