How to Transition Your Lilly Pulitzer to Fall

There’s no denying that fall is here, but since I’m not giving up color anytime soon it’s time to chat about how to transition your Lilly Pulitzer to fall!

Far and away one of the questions that I get asked the most often is how I wear my Lilly Pulitzer in the fall & winter months. I think just like wearing white after Labor Day, so many people have it in their heads that bright colors don’t make appearances then either… and in my world that couldn’t be further from the truth! Y’all know I’m committed to bringing the colors this fall- so let’s chat about some easy ways to “transition” the brights you and I both love! By the time you finish reading you’ll know just how to transition your Lilly Pulitzer to fall (along with other brights too!)

Today’s look is super simple, but it takes a summer staple (my “Donna” dress/romper) and adds some extra “umpm” for fall with a few easy tweaks!

ONE: Toss on a denim jacket! I think a denim jacket is about as essential to my wardrobe as underwear (no joke!) I literally have to stop myself from wearing it 3-4 times a week because I toss it on top of every outfit and it’s always the perfect finishing touch!

TWO: Add booties! It’s amazing what a simple update to your footwear will do for your overall look! I’m currently loving this tan pair from JustFab– they match everything and are actually super comfy too for walking around in (And I traipsed all over this hotel so I can vouch for them!) I’ve recently started ordering some shoes from JustFab (in partnership with them) and I’ve been super impressed by the style and quality. Have you ever shopped them? Would love to know if you have any questions!

THREE: Accessories are the finishing touch! I might be the last girl in America to jump on the hair clip trend but now I am loving it! This pearl barrette is taking me back to my childhood but I kind of love it so! It’s the sweetest little detail that just gives your fall look a little something extra!

See? Easy peasy! It only takes a few simple steps to transition your look from summer to fall!

So cute Gentry!! I do put away some of my very summery looking Lilly pieces after Labor Day, but there’s a couple I keep wearing. And I wear my Elsas tops and fav Lilly scarf year round!

I love tossing on a denim jacket with my Lilly to make it “Fall appropriate”. Lilly is always in season here in Florida, ha! Have a great Monday friend. (:
