Our Proposal Story!

Friends, I can hardly believe that I am typing these words to you right now… today’s the day I’m sharing our proposal story!!! A lot of you had asked if I would also share our “love story”, and that’s another post I’m working on to come soon. But today I’m so excited to capture the love and emotions of this special day here on the blog. I was completely surprised (which is exactly how I wanted it!)

To set the stage a little…

I’m shooting a holiday campaign with my favorite local Lilly store, the Pink Palm (y’all are going to love it!) as my photographer and I were wrapping up (Nina Mcintosh you’re the best!) Sarah Katherine, the owner of the store, casually mentioned that someone had dropped off an outfit for me to wear to my luncheon that day. I was a little confused because the only thing I was going to was Robs grandmas birthday lunch later that morning! Sarah Kat came out holding the Mai romper, which Lilly lovers will know is one of the hardest to find pieces and I was kicking myself for not snagging it years ago! In typical Rob fashion he had hunted it down for me and surprised me with it! Most people think this is when I started putting the pieces together, but I was still totally clueless, since Robs love language is gifts this actually isn’t that out of the norm! ?

As I was putting on the romper to see if it fit, the girls were all calling me out of the dressing room to see it. I was actually in there taking selfies to send to Rob as a thank you! Ha!

When I walked out and saw my love sitting there I was SO confused and still didn’t connect the dots…

I finally looked down and saw the ring box in his lap and that’s when I put the pieces together! I then immediately broke down in sobs!! (Pictured below)

Once Rob asked me to be his wife I couldn’t nod my head “yes” fast enough! I love that man so much and cannot wait to start our lives together!

After he popped the question, we popped the champagne! I am so thankful that Rob put such thoughtful details into this special day and that one of my dear college friends, Nina, was there to capture our favorite moments! It’s basically my most favorite day ever!

One more surprise- Rob had monogram earrings made with my new last name!! I mean, so thoughtful and of course I love wearing them 🙂 (He got them from this talented Etsy Shop!)

A huge thank you to our jeweler, BSK Designs, for creating the ring of my dreams! There’s a lot of meaning behind it, and their love and dedication to capturing our love story, and the love of our families, in this special and treasured piece of jewelry means everything to me! I can’t believe that I get to wear this for the rest of my life!

After celebrating with the Pink Palm, we headed to “grandmas birthday lunch” which turned out to be a surprise engagement party with our families and best friends! Y’all I cannot tell you what it meant to me and us to be surrounded by the people who have loved us SO well and prayed so hard for us to find each other. It truly was a magical moment and the most special way to celebrate!

I can’t wait to marry you! ❤️
