Good Morning y’all! What a crazy few days it has been- it really is mind boggling how much can change in the span of a few days! As I’ve shared (more than a few times) on here, my faith in this time and really any time, is always in God- that he is sovereign and has a plan for each of us and our world. But that doesn’t change the reality that what is happening right now is scary & unknown and certainly turning many people’s worlds upside down (including mine). As of today I am officially working from home until at least March 31st-I’ve never done this before so it’s a new experience for me! I’ll definitely be working on a post with what I’m learning about working from home soon!
But today I wanted to chat about something that’s been on my heart during this hard time, and that is “how I keep a colorful outlook.” You know I basically equate colorful with happy- so I thought we could all use a conversation about how to keep a happy/colorful outlook when the world is scary and unknown!
So how am I keeping a colorful outlook? One BIG thing I am doing is focusing on gratitude and JOY. As I mentioned on my IG stories the past few days, even in the midst of current hardships, I believe there is something good in everyday if you slow down and look for it. Some days those things will be more obvious (Like us getting to shoot our engagement photos last night!) but other things may be smaller (like being grateful for my kitchen table which is now my “work from home” office!). But when we stop and take stock in what we are grateful for- and moments of joy- i think it helps me to center myself and realize that the good will always outweigh the bad and there really is so much goodness to hold on to!
I’d love to hear how you are keeping a colorful outlook these days- please share with us in the comments below! And if I can help at all, whether to be a sounding board, praying for you, or just being your happy internet friend… I’m here for y’all! The more we make this big old world a community the easier it will be to get through this together!
PS- If you’d like to stop and take time to reflect on what you are grateful for, I’ll share a blank template of what I shared last night in my stories (not my template – but I have tagged the creator so you can check her out!!)
