Good Morning friends! As I’m sure you can gather from the title of this post- today is my birthday!!! I am one of those people who absolutely LOVES my birthday and love celebrating it- but this year it feels like it’s been a little overshadowed by several other big life events 😉 And while I cant complain about that (so much happy!!) I wanted to take a few minutes to reflect on Thirty-Two as well as all the exciting things I’m looking forward to this year!
Let’s have some fun!
FIVE THINGS IM EXCITED FOR THIS YEAR:
ONE: Marrying Rob!
I mean, was there any surprise that this is the #1 thing I’m excited for this year?! I have been praying for this season of life for so long, and I pinch myself pretty much daily that I get to love Rob and become his wife this May! Even more than our wedding day, I’m excited to grow together as we experience marriage and all the joy that comes with it. Getting to spend every day with my best friend basically sounds like the best thing ever- I can’t wait!
TWO: Making our house a “home”
Y’all might remember that back in December Rob & I closed on our first house! It was SO exciting, but since I’m not moving in until after the wedding, and we’ve had so many other priorities, I haven’t gotten to spend any time decorating and starting to make our house into the home that I’ve been dreaming of. After the wedding I’m looking forward to pouring my time and energy into decorating and finding the perfect pieces for our house.
THREE: Cleaning out & letting go!
I’m not a fan of moving, so I’ve been I’m my current apartment for about 6 years (man that went fast) – so you can imagine the amount of “stuff” I’ve accumulated over the years! With an impending move, combining households, and smaller closets (our house is from the 50’s!) I have got to say “goodbye” to some of the junk and I’m actually really excited about it! I think it’s going to be so refreshing! if you have any tips on this I’m all ears 🙂
FOUR: Cooking more & learning new recipes
Let’s be honest, cooking for one isn’t that thrilling, but I actually enjoy trying new recipes when I have time, so I’m excited to have some time to cook and try out new recipes with Rob! I have a few go-to’s that I make for him but I think we’re going to have so much fun making new dishes together!
FIVE: The Honeymoon!
I mean, a ten day vacation with my new husband?! Sign me up!! I love to travel, and getting to do that with the love of my life is basically going to be the best! CoronaVirus is currently putting a slight crimp in our original plan, but we are working on our back-up ideas and are booking the honeymoon this month. No matter where we go, I’m just excited to experience a new place with my love!
