Happy Hour || 6.12.20

Hey y’all! Happy Friday- we made it through another week! I’ve totally lost track of how long I’ve been working from home at this point, but I think someone mentioned this week that it’s been 13 week, wow! I miss going into the office and seeing my co-workers SO much! Zoom helps, but it is definitely not the same as working together.

Anyway, I thought today was perfect timing for a  little Happy Hour! I had a “real”/virtrual one with some of best friends last night and it was so much fun! There’s nothing better than some girl talk and just catching up! Let’s get to it shall we…

Monogram Canvas Tote Bag

I love gifting personalized/monogram/initial gifts because they really send a message to your recipient that you thought about them and found something true to who they are. But personalized gifts often are more expensive since they have to be custom made- but not today!! I saw these adorable, initial-bearing, tote bags pop up and I couldn’t click “show me more” fast enough! Right now all letters are fully in stock and this rings in at under $20 (currently there is an online coupon for an additional 15% off!). GREAT gift idea if you know any upcoming brides to be as well 🙂

Y’all know I have been OBSESSED with Target dresses this spring, they must have gotten new designers or something because they are knocking it out of the park, and they have dropped some new arrivals that are so, so, so good! I have several new styles headed my way and I cannot wait until they get here and to share them with you in “real life”. Y’all are going to love them! If you can’t wait- I’ve rounded up some of my favorite new arrivals for you! (Click the picture above to be taken directly to the product page)

Drunk Elephant “The Littles” Favorites Kit

I feel like I have been on the great skincare hunt since entering my 30’s! I didn’t dislike my previous skincare, I just felt like my skin looked “good” but not “glowing” – ha! I’ve tried Drunk Elephant a few times over the years and LOVE it so much, it’s incredibly high quality, but the price point is high to say the least! I stumbled across this Sephora kit of best-selling products and think it’s a great starting point to trying some additional products and making sure I love them before investing in a much bigger way.

I’d love you skincare recommendations if you have them! I have oily skin naturally and battle humidity here in Florida 🙂

Y’all know I wear my Apple Watch all day, every day! I’m pretty plain Jane about it- I wear my white silicone band daily- but lately have been craving mixing it up with some cuter more “fashion” bands! Sine I’m always looking for a good deal, I’ve rounded up some adorable options under $25! All of these would give your everyday Apple Watch a facelift!

It will be a slightly more low-key weekend (after moving & getting married not much else can be happening!!), with lots of organizing at home, cleaning, and continuing to turn our house into our home. I’m also shooting blog photos for the first time since March and I am super excited!! I have so many pieces that have been waiting to be shot so delivering new content to y’all makes me so happy! I can’t wait to share what I’ve got for you!

As I mentioned in this post, I am committing to on-going education for myself so that I can listen, learn, and become a better ally. This weekend I plan on doing that in two ways:

  1. Watching Just Mercy
  2. Reading this article on How White Women Can Use their Privilege to End Racism (*Note: I know that articles like this can come off as harsh or even controversial/uncomfortable if this is a new subject matter for you. What I’m finding is that it’s so important to read and learn from ALL different viewpoints whether you 100% agree or disagree. It opens your mind up to considering other points of view and thoughts!)

And that’s it for this week!! What are you up to this weekend? I’d love to hear in the comments below!

    Wow. 13 weeks of working remotely. I had lost count too. And I’m not expected to return until July!

    Love the monogram bag. And believe it or not.. after trying skincare regimen after skincare regimen, I found that the Mary Kay Clear Proof worked wonders for me. I love it. I have somewhat oily skin and blemishes still, like I’m sixteen not in my mid thirties!! Lol.

    Just wanted to drop in and say THANK YOU for sharing what you are doing to continue educating yourself on becoming a better ally! You are making a difference by sharing and helping to guide other women looking for a place to start or keep going with this journey. Please keep sharing – I feel like you are one of the only influencers I follow who is actively sharing across platforms, and it is so important to keep the conversation going after the black squares and hashtags fade for so many. Thank you, thank you, thank you ?

      Hi Allie! Thank yo use much for your comment- I am so glad that these posts & my sharing are helping even a small bit. My girlfriends and I were just talking about how we hope that the conversations today make a difference for the lives of our children- and that they won’t have to be having the same conversations. All the best to you!
