Our Ceremony Details and Vendors

Sharing the first look at our wedding photos- sharing our phenomenal vendor and details from our big day!

Happy Tuesday sweet friends! Today is a day I have been so excited about- I’m sharing the first look at our sweet wedding day, May 30th 2020! As many of y’all know, this was our original wedding date, but due to COVID we had to push our “big” day out to this fall. However, we were so passionate about our first wedding date, and truly believed that the Lord had a special plan for us that day, that we pivoted directions and planned an intimate, backyard ceremony for 30 guests. And y’all, it was the most PERFECT, special, magical day! There are a million little details that the Lord weaved together, starting with the fact that it had been pouring rain every day the week before the wedding, and I was majorly stressed! But we woke up Saturday to a clear forecast and nothing but sunshine. The Lord truly parted the clouds for us! And in the ultimate “full circle” moment, we got married in the backyard of the two friends who introduced us and started our entire love story… it was so special!

Before I share all the details from our day, I just wanted to share my heartfelt thanks to our family and friends who rallied around us and made this day happen. I’m not kidding when I say that this wouldn’t not have happened without them! From friends who hunted down vintage furniture, to family who strung lights and moved said furniture, to those who made appetizers, drinks, our floral arrangements and more… I couldn’t be more grateful that every detail of our day was full of love! (Not only ours, but also our friends and family). We feel incredibly lucky and loved!

I hope sharing these details gives you a peek into our day and helps you feel like you were there with us. XO

PS- I’ll be tagging all our wonderful vendors at the end of this post!

Since we were lucky enough to have 30 of our friends and family there, we wanted to feed everyone well and enjoy a great dinner! We had 5 tables of 6 (social distancing!) for everyone to relax, enjoy, and celebrate with us!

How special are these wine glasses?? Rob’s dad had a full set of 12 “Blackwood” glasses that we thought would be so fun to have at our reception! It was such a special heirloom to have on the day.

Our friends at Two Funny Girls helped create the perfect favor for our guests- monogrammed cups!

Oh my goodness y’all- let me tell you about this cross! It was at least 200 pounds and took two grown men to move! I had a vision for the cross and we are so thankful for our talented friend Hannah who brought it to life for us! I mean, how insanely talented is she?? And would you believe all the flowers are from Trader Joe’s and then she free-handed the design? I mean, so so thankful for her blessing us with her talents!

After the ceremony we did a little “Happy Hour” while we did pictures. As a surprise for Rob, it was Gator themed! (We are both alumni). My mom made cheese fondue and my aunt made margaritas- it was a hit and so yummy! The perfect way to get the party started!

My wedding shoes: Palm Beach Sandals c/o

Chantilly Cakes is also doing our “big” wedding cake in the fall so we loved having them on our backyard day as well. And our cake topper just really brought it home- they do all sorts of teams/mascots which you can personalize! Rob and I both fell in love with it- you can check out the Etsy shop here.

I am humbled and honored every day to wear these rings. You can see my bridal set in the background, and my new blue ring was my wedding gift ๐Ÿ™‚ Long story behind it, but there is so much heart and meaning- I am thankful every day I put it on! Our jewelers at BSK helped to pull of the surprise… they are the best!

This jacket!! Oh y’all what a sweet surprise this was from my matron of honor! This custom done jacket features a “B”, a bow, and citrus (which is a big part of our “big” wedding day!) I cant believe what a work of art it is! You can check out the artist here: Alzada’s Art!

Custom Clutch- Bayshore Babe; I had this vision of a custom acrylic bag and the team at Bayshore Babe helped to bring it to life! I carried this on our honeymoon as well and just loved it! It fits an iPhone, lipgloss, and my debit card (for size reference).

All right y’all, I just cannot gush about my team at Adore Bridal Hair and Makeup Enough! The minute you meet the girls, it’s like they are instantly your BFF – we giggled, girl talked, and had so much fun! I had a vision of an undone/messy braid into an updo and the team NAILED it! They got my vision in a second and made my dreams come true! As far as makeup, I wanted to look like myself but “Amped Up” and the look they gave me was exactly what I hoped for! Its true what they say, I have never felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day!

For this wedding, we had our guests sign our new married monogram – a last minute idea that turned out pretty well! ๐Ÿ™‚ We love that we can now hang it in our house as a reminder of our special day! We decorated the table with sweet pictures of our parents wedding day photos- just the most special touch!

Everything is SO beautiful! You are glowing…what a special day you created amidst uncertainty!
My husband and I were married September 15, 2001 — just days after the terrorist attacks on America, also during uncertain times…we thought of postponing (grandparents were unable to attend as were very far away relatives and friends +there was no European honeymoon as planned) but kept our date, too. We were still able to have our church wedding, but our venue was smaller — at an Inn in Vermont — in my husband’s hometown — with freshly-grown wildflowers and the help of a LOT of friends and family. Everything came together, and we had everything we needed. Friends even opened up their home on Martha’s Vineyard so that we would have a honeymoon.
It’s times like these that help solidify your foundation of which you’ll build a life together on.
Congratulations again — and best wishes for a happily ever after!
