Happy Friday my sweet friends! Nothing is more fun on Friday than a good happy hour (clink, clink!) and we have so many fun things to chat about today! If you’re new to “happy hour” on the blog, it’s basically our chance to chat about all the random things and just catch up a bit. It’s virtual happy hour!
TIE DYE CUTIE
I didn’t think it would happen to me, but I’ve become smitten with all things colorful and tie dye! The second I spotted this cute dress under $22, I knew it had to come home to me! It arrived last night and I couldn’t love it more! Lightweight, breezy, almost a tee material- this is a winner!

BOOKS ON WAITING
If you’ve been around my IG this week then you know we’ve been chatting all things “seasons of waiting.” Waiting is tough, it can make you feel forgotten and alone, but it can also teach you so much and transform your life in ways you didn’t think were possible. (I know from first hand experience!) So many sweet readers sent in wonderful book recommendations for this season of life, so I wanted to share them here as well. If you are in a season of waiting I hope these can be a wonderful encouragement for you!
I spotted these bracelets when perusing Etsy this week and I love love them! My jewelry style has become SO simplified the past few years, but I’m ready to start adding a little more to my stack and jazzing up my wrist. I love that you can customize these with you hometown- would make such a great gift! GOLD BEADED BRACELETS
CUTE FACE MASKS
Alright y’all, I’m giving in and finally ordering some cute face masks! I’ve been a total cheapskate about it and just using freebies, but they are all too big on my face and slip around when I talk! I found these which are made of a swimsuit material so I’m hoping they have better stretch and fit! Plus, they are cute!
LISTENING & LEARNING
I’m finishing up my bedside book this weekend and then plan on diving into “The New Jim Crow” which is about race relations and how race plays a role in mass incarcerations. Rob read it in grad school and said it is eye opening, so I’m ready to dive in! I think it is going to be a great continuing education moment for me.
This weekend I’m picking up my wedding dress (!!!) I know, we got married once (ha!) but this is my “original” dress that I’ll be wearing for our “big wedding” hopefully in November! Then I have a socially distanced baby shower (my first one!) and we’ll spend some time visiting My father in law. It’s going to be a relaxed weekend but I’m looking forward to it!0
