One Week Off

Pink Printed Babydoll Dress // Nude Heels // Joyful Clutch

What a week y’all! I am off for the entire week- I don’t think that’s ever happened in my life! It’s already been so wonderful to spend all this extra time with Eliza, while I’m home during the day since I’m working sometimes I can go a few hours without seeing her, so to just get mommy & mini time is so sweet! Eliza will be one in two weeks and I cannot even believe it- all the more reason to enjoy this time with her.

All this time off too really has me thinking about life, my priorities, all the things I’m juggling, and what is the “best yes” in my life. In the past year I’ve realized how fleeting time is, especially with our littlest love, and I want to make sure that above and beyond anything in my life my family comes first. I’ve been reading “The Best Yes” and it’s got my wheels spinning on what I may need to step away from or eliminate from my life to make sure I’m giving God and my family my best yes.

Do you have any tips on the daily juggle?

I read The Best Yes several years ago and it is a book I still reference back to. Saying “yes” to something means saying ‘no” to something as well. It’s hard to do, but at the end of the day all the “yeses” to please others won’t matter down the road. Also, a “no” right now isn’t forever, it’s just in the season it is not a good “yes” that can be evaluated later. I wrote about this book here: https://therobertsonreel.com/2017/10/09/write31days-october-9/ Cheers and keep persevering. Having protected and available time is really a gift vs. all of your time committed to “yeses” that you wish you had said “no” to. 🙂 I enjoy your blog!

I’m sorry to be delayed in replying, but thank you for sharing your thoughts on this! I love that a No isn’t forever, but it’s protecting and prioritizing what’s most important right now. So appreciate you stopping by!

Enjoy every second of your much deserved week off! I’m juggling way too much too, and find the most joy in stopping to pay attention to what truly matters. Give an extra hug to your almost one year old – how is this happening already?!
