Hi Friends! What a whirlwind the last month or so has been around here! From traveling to getting sick (a family with the stomach bug is no joke) to work demands and more, it’s felt a bit like I’m drinking though a firehose just trying to keep up with it all. When life feels a bit overwhelming I like to go back to basics and remind myself of my plastic vs. glass balls. Clearly over the past month I’ve had to take a step back from this space, but giving myself a little time (and less pressure) has reminded my how much FUN it can be to just write from the heart + share things I love. And boy is there a lot I am loving right now!

Over the next few weeks I am so excited to share all the pieces I’ve picked up for my closet that I absolutely LOVE- but today I think we can start with this eye-catching design from Michelle McDowell! While Michelle McDowell is a newer-to-me brand, I already consider myself a huge fan. Her designs involved lots of color and vibrant prints (pretty much my love language) but they also have an ease to them that makes them as suitable for wearing to church as tossing on with sneakers and wearing on the weekend.
In particular, I think that this dress (the “Amelia” style) is the epitome of a day to night, work to weekend style. The puff sleeves are fun and on trend, the subtle shift shape still has a nice ease of movement, and the fabrication is lightweight for the season while still giving great coverage (important when you are running after little ones!).
In fact, I recently wore this dress on a girls weekend and my friends all LOVED the style and asked me where it was from. I was so excited to tell them about the new line that I was loving!
