I’ve gone all in on goal setting and planning for 2025 this year, and while I’ve been slow to share it all here on the blog, I’ve been fired up behind the scenes and already working to live out my word of the year. This year, I chose the word “Invest” and I absolutely love it and feel that it couldn’t be more perfect for the year I have ahead of me. I explain more in detail below, but to me invest signifies investing in my family, my friends, my health, my career, my side hustle, my faith and pouring into what makes my life richer & fuller (and thus letting go of the things that don’t).

2024 was a test run in a lot of ways for me. Rob and I tried new ways to run our house, schedules, family and some things worked great and some things didn’t. But this year, now that we know what works, I want to invest in those systems, make the most of our time, and not miss a minute with our precious family and the little girl who’s growing up way too fast!

I’m always working on finding the balance between what I need to fill my cup (so I can show up as the most present mom possible) and giving Eliza everything the needs to thrive. She is and always will be my driving force, priority, and my tiny best friend 🥹 Investing in our family might lookin like saying no to things that do not serve us, taking rest days if we’ve had a busy week, and really just prioritizing what we need to run our best!

Community is another big focus and goal for me this year, and I’m making a lot of effort to build our community of friends (parent friends and Eliza friends) so we have a strong circle that surrounds us. Also desiring to pour into the St Pete community more as I connected with so many amazing families during my Hurricane Relief event last year.

I’m so excited to really focus on our health in 2025! We’ve already minimized processed foods, are cutting out seed oils, and I’m getting comprehensive bloodwork done to ensure my hormones are balanced and I’m functioning at 100%! Just from the changes we’ve made so far, I have more energy, less brain fog, and feel like a more engaged and present mom & wife!
Do you pick a word of the year? If so, what’s your word this year? I’m so excited to make 2025 a wonderful one!
Thanks for stopping by y’all! || Gentry
