Brrrr… It’s Cold in Here!

Good morning and happy Monday love bugs! It has been the COLDEST weekend here- like we hit the 30s (which for us Floridians is a deep freeze!). Poor Eliza has had red cheeks all weekend from the cold!! The fun thing about the cold though is the chance to bundle up and wear sweaters that I normally just have to leave hanging in my closet.

Take this adorable poncho for example! I scooped this up when there was a great J.Crew sale around Christmas and while its not something I can wear often- I love how cozy and chic it is! I knew my default way to wear it would be with leggings or jeans and a long sleeve tee, so I wanted to challenge myself to wear it more creatively… hence today’s look! I layered this over my favorite Target $10 dress and love the result! Because the dress is fitted, it’s a perfect underlay to this roomy poncho- and I think the booties give it a bit of edge! I love how this came together!
