Whenever the bi-annual Lilly Pulitzer sale rolls around (usually in January and then Aug/September) I always take advantage of the great pricing to pick up old favorite styles as well as taking a chance on trying some new pieces. This Lilly Pulitzer Shannon dress was one of those new styles that I took a chance on in this year’s January sale and I’m so glad that I did!
Why I love the Lilly Pulitzer Shannon Dress
Lilly Pulitzer is a master of a swingy, easy dress – she knows how to make the layers flattering and comfortable- but what I really love about that Shannon is that it’s more of a “dressy” design which really lends it’s self to being worn for a variety of occasions. This fabric is a poly-blend so it’s got a bit of sheen and sparkle to it, and the puff sleeve details really elevate it! This is a dress I would be comfortable wearing on a date with Rob (w/ heels!), to the office (w/ wedges!), or even chasing Eliza at brunch (w/ sneakers!). I call this a wardrobe workhorse!
From a sizing perspective, I am in a small which is my typical Lilly size in easy, swing dresses. There is no zipper on this dress- it pulls on over the head.

I also have to take a second and just highlight this super fun bow headband!! Y’all will never believe that it was just $5 from Walmart and it is currently in stock (I can’t believe it either!) It adds a perfect touch of fun & whimsy to your look and is comfortable for wearing for extended periods of time. I just love it!!
