Our “Bee” Themed Baby Shower

Last weekend, on January 16th, we got to celebrate Baby Girl Blackwood at the most perfect, special shower I could have ever imagined! My girlfriends are creative geniuses y’all – and came up with the sweetest theme (bees) to celebrate our “babee” girl – and the way they incorporated it in every detail was so thoughtful and could not have made Rob, Eliza, & me feel more thankful! From honey-themed food (the chicken and waffle sliders were YUM) to honeycomb cupcakes, to Burt’s Bee’s party favors, nothing went unnoticed and I couldn’t have dreamed of a more wonderful day!

I say it all the time, but the past 12 months have certainly been a whirlwind for Rob & I, but we are thankful each and every day for family and friends who have stood by our sides, celebrated with us, and made each and every life event feel so very special! We couldn’t have come through this year with out them, and our shower was a culmination of the most special (& unforgettable!) years!

PS- want to talk about a total God moment? Emily, one of my best gals and the reason Rob & I met, hosted our first wedding at her house where the shower was held! It was such a full-circle moment to be back in the place where we started our life together, celebrating the new life we are bringing into the world! And funny story, we got married in front of a cross which was about 200 lbs and Emily still has it standing in the yard- you will be able to see it below! It makes me smile every time I’m at her house!

Shoutout to my talented girlfriend Jill of The Lovely Flamingo! She always mades the most adorable gift baskets and created this mommy and me look for Eliza and I! Her Troop Beverly Hills Sweatshirts are flying out of her Etsy Shop and she made a matching onesie for Eliza!

Remember that cross I mentioned?? You can peep it in the background of these photos and it is SO special to me! Seriously the most full-circle moment to be here with our sweet baby girl in the place we said ” I Do !”
