What I Wore in NYC for our 4 Year Anniversary!

Hey friends! Once again I am trying to play catch up on posts I’ve drafted and woefully neglected over the past few months. I love this space, and while I don’t have the capacity to publish new posts 5 days a week like I did in my heyday (or really blogging’s heyday), I do want to do a better job of keeping up with sharing over here! I have soooooo much to share, I just wish I could clone myself and then maybe I could get it all done, haha.

Anywho, Rob and I celebrate our four year anniversary on May 30th, and it perfectly falls on Memorial Day Weekend so for the second year we celebrated with a weekend in New York! We absolutely love taking a few days to get away and explore together, and even though the city is full of hustle and bustle there is something so relaxing about have time to just meander and explore together. We stayed in a new part of the city (to us) and absolutely LOVED it! (Hotel)- we’d absolutely stay there again 🙂

Travel to NYC

Travel note: I try to travel in a carry on 99% of the time, and for this trip I brought several extra outfits so that I could capture come content while I was there. I brought 15 outfits + 5 pairs of shoes in my carry on… only possible because of the Barrington Gifts Yacht Tote, this bag holds so much (I have my entire purse + toiletries and accessories) and still fits under the seat! I swear by it for traveling and making the most of packing in a carry on!

Dinner Night 1

We love to walk as much as we can when we are in the city, so I made sure to pack pieces that were easy for clocking several miles in. I think we logged 15-20K steps a day! That’s one of the things I love so much about the city!

Sightseeing/Exploring NYC

I cannot say enough great things about SSYS pickleball sets! Whether you are actually wearing them to play, or just to look cute, they are perfection! The skirts have gummy shorts underneath, so they DO NOT RIDE UP (amen!). This was the day we walked and explored the most, so over 7 miles and these shorts did not move! I wear this set for mom life, dance practice with E, running errands, etc. big fan!

Dinner Night 2

Thanks to all of Rob’s research, we were able to secure a reservation at Don Angie and I’m not exaggerating when I say it was one of the best meals of my life! The service, the food, the atmosphere- all of it perfection! And the night before Kendrick Lamar had dinner there…and Taylor Swift is a regular. (No celeb sightings this night though!)

SSYS also creates the perfect lounge sets! I have several of them now and they all fit and function SO good! This one was perfect for traveling home- even with a 2 hour delay 🙂
