What to Wear for Your Newborn Shoot

All photography by the talented Jessie Roffer Photography– thank you for capturing this special time in our life!

Eliza’s Swaddle & Bow: Posh Peanut

As I’m sure you can imagine, from the day I found out I was pregnant I dreamed about our newborn photos! I knew there would never be another time in our lives like the first few sleepy days of life with our first baby, and I wanted to capture this time as a new family of three. However, what I didn’t account for was that a postpartum body is a whole lot different than my pre-baby or even pregnant body! I am so thankful that our photographer, Jessie Roffer, actually keeps a wardrobe on hand of flattering and beautiful dresses to make mamas feel their best!! She set up a Zoom with me the night before our shoot and we picked out several styles that I thought would be great with the outfits I had picked out for Eliza. Do you know how nice it is as a new mama to not have to think about your wardrobe??? #HeavenSent

Since not everyone can have a Jessie Roffer in their lives (seriously if you’re in Tampa/St Pete she is the best!!) I thought it would be helpful to put together some dresses that would be easy, flattering, and beautiful for any of your newborn photo needs. Every new mama deserves to look and feel her best when capturing these precious newborn memories!

I’m wearing: Hillhouse Nap Dress (wearing size small) // Eliza’s Gown: Posh Peanut

I’m wearing: Amazon Off the shoulder dress (size small)

I’m excited to share more of our newborn photos soon, but in the meantime- here are some beautiful options for your newborn photo shoot!

What cute photos! it’s nice your photographer provided clothes too! I just went in jeans and a tee for both my kids newborn photos, haha! Worked out well when I got peed on in one shoot by a naked baby, hahaha!

Thanks for the link up 🙂

Hope your week is going well 🙂
