Why I Love Wearing Color

You know that scene in Legally Blonde where Elle says “exercise gives you endorphins, and endorphins make you happy… happy people just don’t kill their husbands, they just don’t!” Well y’all, that’s basically how I feel about wearing color! Wearing color just makes me so darn happy… and happy people just do happy things 🙂

When I was younger I remember gravitating toward black. I struggled with my weight, a lot, and read all the fashion magazines which said black was “slimming” so buy all the black dresses I did! And then in high school I began to discover that wearing color felt so much more like “me” and let me express my bubbly personality through what I was wearing. I also started to learn so much more clearly that our clothing tells a story as much as our words and actions do, and I wanted mine to express “I’m happy and I love life!” ha. But seriously, if I can share any words of fashion “wisdom” (and I use that term loosely!) it would be to wear what you love and what makes you feel happy when you look in the mirror. And for me… that’s ALL The color!
