Must-Have Accessory for Cinco de Mayo

I don’t know about y’all, but I think Cinco de Mayo is SUCH a fun holiday & I always look forward to celebrating! A holiday all about tacos & margaritas? SIGN ME UP! 🙂 So then it’s no surprise that when I was shopping a few weeks ago and came across this sparkly avocado purse it was a no brainer that it had to be mine! I mean, let’s just repeat those words… sparkly, avocado, purse!!!

I’m so excited that this year the Kentucky Derby also falls on Cinco de Mayo- it’s like double the fun! Although it’s making my outfit choice twice as hard to choose (horses & avocados don’t quite mix) but I cannot wait to show you what I come up with! I’ve even got two parties on the 5th so I’m going to be pulling all kinds of double duty.

This weekend I was lucky enough to go see Waitress at our local performing arts center (they call it the “Broadway of the South”). I didn’t quite know what to expect, but I was so impressed by the cast and their talent! The story was super sweet and I teared up at the ending (which doesn’t happen often!) so if it comes to a city near you I would totally recommend it.

I’m also continuing my streak of running and feeling myself getting stronger each time I go out. I broke into the lower “minute mile” range and I was pumped!! (I mean, I’m still real slow, but a minute off my mile is still a minute off). Woo-hoo!
