My 22 Favorite Purchases of 2022!

My 2022 Favorite Purchases of 2022!

Today were taking another walk down the memory lane of 2022 and I’m sharing my 22 Favorite purchases of 2022! This post has been so much fun to put together for a variety of reasons:

  1. As I revealed on Tuesday, one of my words of the year is “Curate”, which not only applies to where I choose to invest my time and energy but I am also working to apply to my purchasing habits- curating less “stuff” and more items I love and that fill my home and closet with joy. So looking back at what I loved in 2022 what a great starting point to kick off my curation of a year!
  2. It’s just flat out fun to look back on what I loved this past year and see what I would recommend that’s stood the “test of time”.

I split this post up into a few categories: Fashion, Home, & Baby/Kids since I have a lot of different favorites. If you purchased anything based on my recommendation this past year and loved it I would be pleased as punch if you shared it in the comments! Nothing makes me happier than knowing I helped you find something you loved! Now let’s get to the good stuff- my 22 favorite purchases of 2022!

Favorite Fashion Purchases:

J. Marie Tiered Long Sleeve Dresses– I have lost count of how many colors I own this dress in because it is such a classic and THAT GOOD! The prints of these dresses are so much fun, I always get complimented when I wear them, and you certainly stand out in a crowd. 10/10 recommend adding one of these to your closet in 2023 (or adding more if you already own one!)

Golden Goose Superstar Sneakers– This year I joined the Golden Goose club and I couldn’t be happier or recommend them more! While I certainly wish the price point was lower (I’d own more than 1 pair if it was!) for the comfort, the style, and the longevity of this shoe I think the investment is worth it and I have been so happy with mine. I wear them at least 2-3 times a week!

Belk Crown & Ivy Nap Dress Dupes– This was another dress style that I purchased in multiples because it’s such a winner. While the Hill House Nap Dress will run you $100+, most of the time my dupe style is on sale for under $40! And what I love is that they are more colorful, a thicker fabrication, and come in really fun prints!

Amazon White Western Boots– This was a new purchase towards the end of the year, but I’ve already found myself wearing these soooo much that I have to give them a shoutout!! White boots were trending all over this year, so I finally jumped on the bandwagon and have been really happy to see how much these boots go with. A great wardrobe addition and an affordable price point since they are Amazon!

Amazon Mock Neck Sweater– I feel like at this point there is no one who doesn’t know my love for these sweaters, but in case you need a refresher, they really are the best of the best! A little oversized, perfect for leggings, tons of color choices… what more could a girl want? They are perfect!

Amazon Mock Neck Sweater Free People Dupe

Amazon Plaid Dresses– Stumbled upon these dresses this fall and I’m a HUGE fan! They are the best shape (A-line with a tiered skirt), so flattering, and adorable! The price tag is pretty awesome too!

Target Overalls– I have been looking for a cute pair of overalls forever, and when I found these at target it felt like I hit the jackpot! They have great stretch, are fun and trendy, and hug my curves! I’m a forever fan!

Vana Chupp Studio Silhouette Necklace– I fell in love with this precious necklace earlier this year, but finally got it for Christmas and I haven’t taken it off since! Each charm is a silhouette of of your child’s profile and then you can engrave it with a monogram, name, etc. Mine says “Eliza Ann” and I just treasure it!

Anything & Everything Canvas Style!– 2022 was most definitely the year of Canvas Style and I have loved each and every piece I’ve purchased from them! They are an on-trend fashion jewelry company with weekly new releases, so there is always something new to discover! I especially love their cheeky earrings and Bali bracelets- so good for stacking!

Favorites for the Kitchen:

Dishwash Drying Rack– Oh man, who knew I would love a dish drying rack so much? We have lots of hand wash items (mainly Eliza’s dishes and cups) that we need to wash thought the day, and it was taking up valuable space on our island to do so. Rob found this drying mat and it’s been such a game changer! We love this thing!

OXO Kitchen Tools Set– I fully admit that when I register for our kitchen tools set I chose fashion over function (ie: they were cute but tarnished not even 6 months later!). We really needed new, higher quality, kitchen tools and we love OXO in our house so it was a no-brainer to grab this set. So far we have loved it and it’s been exactly what we were looking for!

Electric Wine Opener– Under $30, makes opening your wine bottles a literal breeze… need I say more?! Obsessed & cannot live without it!

Christmas Coffee Mugs– These were such fun purchases for the holiday season! Just $5 a mug, and I displayed them by my Keurig for a festive coffee bar! Made me so happy each morning and was an easy way to add Christmas cheer!

Amazon Car Trash Can– OK, stick with me here 🙂 We’ve gotten to that mom stage where there constantly seems to be trash in my car, and it was driving me nuts! I saw this smart mini trash can that looks chic (or as chic as a trash can can look) and it’s solved my problem really quick! Oh, and it fits in your cupholder- so smart!

Kindle Unlimited Membership– I really kicked up my reading in high gear last year (you can catch up on everything I read in 2022 here) and something that really helped me was my Kindle Unlimited subscription. This is a monthly or yearly subscription (depending on how you want to pay) but allows you to read for free any books that are part of the Kindle Unlimited program. There are so many great books to choose from- and what I like is that if I do get a dud then I don’t feel bad not finishing it and returning it! Highly recommend this program!

Handheld Steamer– Is it possible to be in love with a steamer?? haha! This steamer is great and truly gets out any wrinkles in your garments. For a girl who doesn’t have or use an iron this is my lifesaver!

Baby Purchases:

Zak Designs Sippy Cups– We have tried every sip cuppy under the sun, and out of all of them this is our favorite!

Melissa & Doug Keurig Coffee Play Set– My mom actually got this for Eliza last year and since she plays with it every day still it’s worth sharing again! Every morning when I have my regular coffee Eliza makes me a cup too! It’s so cute to see her “add” sugar and creamer and then pretend to have her own cup of coffee with mama!

Melissa & Doug Play Kitchen– This was Eliza’s Santa present this year and she has loved it! She always wants to help me in the kitchen, so this is fun for her to have her own little space to learn and pretend and play in. I love seeing what she’s “cooking” in the oven (a lot of turkey & cookies these days lol) and her little brain at work 🙂

Lovevery Play Kit Subscription– We have been part of the Lovevry subscription since Eliza was born almost 2 years ago, and I cannot rave about it enough! When she was born, I honestly didn’t know how to play with a newborn, so each box taught me how to best play with Eliza and help her learn from day one! Even now, the activities and toys are so fun for her and I love that I continue to learn how to best support my daughter as she learns and grows!

Miss Messy Mouth’s Stain Remover– If you are a mom and you don’t have this in your house, drop what you’re doing and order this now! We get a lot of stains in our house with a busy toddler, and this gets out EVERYTHING! Even stains that are washed and set in- this gets them out with what’s basically magic 🙂 I cannot tell you how many bottles I’ve gone through since Eliza was born!

Gosh this was so much fun to look back on! If you missed any of these purchases originally, I sure hope you enjoyed seeing them now and maybe found a favorite or two of your own! Can’t wait to see what my favorite purchases of 2023 will be!
