Hey y’all! I’ve missed y’all in this sweet space and I’m thrilled to spend some time with you today updating you on all things pregnancy! I truly remember the moment I took that first positive test (I was only about 3-4 weeks pregnant at the time!) and now I’m 9 months along! There was a moment where I couldn’t even image making it a full 40 weeks, and now I’m wishing time would slow down because it has just FLOWN by! But I can’t deny that I am so excited to hold this sweet girl in my arms so very soon!
How far along are you? 36 weeks (or officially 9 months!)
Best pregnancy “symptoms?”
There is literally nothing better than feeling her move and wiggle- and boy does she ever! Now that she is over 6 lbs (estimated) her movements are so strong and she pushes and kicks against my stomach so hard the whole thing bounces! It’s crazy to see! And since she is booty out- I can find her little bottom all the time pushing against my stomach. It’s out little activity that I push it in and she moves all around. I just love her so much already!!
I also would say it’s fun that I’m now showing enough that strangers stop me to say “congrats” and ask about the baby!
Worst pregnancy “symptoms?”
Let’s just say that things are getting REAL in this last stretch of pregnancy. I’m getting all the wild and weird symptoms!
- Nosebleeds- No one ever told me that nosebleeds are totally common in pregnancy! I don’t get them all the time- but about once a week they happen & it is so strange! I’ve never had one in my life until getting pregnant!
- Swelling- goodness gracious the swelling is real right now! My feet look like two puddles of jello and literally no shoes fit… it’s quite a scene! haha. I’m grateful the swelling didn’t really kick in until the end of pregnancy because it’s a bear!
- Numbness- Ive also been dealing with some numbness in my hands- I’ll be holding my coffee cup and then boom! My fingers go numb! It isn’t an uncommon symptom from what I read, but definitely a little weird!
- Pelvic pressure- baby girl has definitely dropped and I can feel all the pressure in my pelvis. It can be a little uncomfortable when standing up and walking, but I know that she’s just getting ready to make her way into the world!
Current Cravings? Well, now that I’m on a pretty strict meal plan for my gestational diabetes all the things I love seem like cravings- especially my beloved buffalo chicken! For my fellow gestational diabetes mamas, here are a few meals/eating ideas that I’m enjoying and also keep my sugars in check:
- Breakfast: Bran Flakes, Chopped Pecans, & 1% Milk
- Snack: Bananas and Almond Butter, Sargento Balanced Breaks, Cottage Cheese w/ blueberries & honey
- Lunch: Copycat Olive Garden Salad
- Dinner: Corn Tortilla w/ Black Beans, Chicken, & Cheese
Purchases for Baby Girl? ALL THE THINGS! With less than 4 weeks until Eliza makes her arrival, we have been stocking up on anything and everything that she might need! From darling little onesies, to her arrival sign, to mittens for the hospital… I don’t want to jinx it but I think we are ready for her to be here! 🙂
Previous Bump Dates:
More than anything I just cannot wait for Eliza to be here! Rob and I just stop and look at her nursery in wonder every day- loving her is going to be the best thing we’ve ever done 🙂

Such a cute pic! The swelling is so hard in pregnancy – I was hoping to avoid it the second time around with my autumn baby but we had a heatwave the week before I went into labour – wearing shoes was hard! haha!
Thank you for the link up 🙂
Hope that your week is going well 🙂
Oh goodness, the swelling! I remember it well. You are on the final stretch and it’s so exciting!

Ah, the numbness! Mine happened a lot in my hands and arms at night! And yes to the best feeling being the baby moving around!

Ugh I had nosebleeds too but barely any of my friends did so I felt “weird”. Totally normal though! You’re almost there- hang in there!
So excited for you! Feeling the baby move is the best! My feet were so swollen at the end we used to joke that my feet had been replaced with my husband’s.

You have the cutest bump! I remember those last few weeks and how exciting they are as you get closer, but then also how you get more and more uncomfortable! I didn’t know about the nosebleeds! I never got those, but I remember when my babies would get hiccups in the womb. It was hilarious!
